Capture = Video recording images to a hard drive or computer.

Clip = A small portion of the movie. Clip can be audio, video, picture or subtitle

Codec = From the word compress and decompress. All the videos on the computer using a special algorithm or program to run video playback. This program is called a codec

Color Clip = Background color used on the movie. Often used to provide a title or text on the video.

Compression = Compaction size of the files that make the file sizes smaller than actual size

Data Rate = number of data per second that can be transferred or read. Examples CDROM has a lower data rate than the hard drive.

Frame = Single image on movie
